Has anyone done a comparison between the Magnus and the FRH? Looks good Tevenor, the fuse box looks quite bassackwards to me though.

I had to put it somewhere! :)

Besides with no battery there, there is plenty of room for all!

Stock. Smithey made 600+ hp on stock TB, people have gone 9s on them, so why mess with a proven combo?

Maybe its just me, but in the pictures it looks like the runners are blocking air that is coming in, because they are sticking out, I dont know maybe it is designed like that for some reason.

As someone requested earlier, I uploaded a couple pics to my gallery of the FRH intake. They didn't come out too good as I was rushing. I had a lot of crap to do to both of my DSMs today and just wanted to get that crap done, so I quickly took a couple shots. I will get better ones in the next couple days.

Sean, looks good. Did you get a chance to take it to the track or dyno to see what gains you get out of her over the stock manifold?

Thanks Rich, I appreciate the pics.
Is there anyone out there that has used both of these products? I figure a back to back dyno run is out of the question, but if there's anyone out there that can compare the two on the same car using a butt-dyno that'd be great.

those are probably placed intentionally, maybe ideas along the lines of velocity stacks,it probably evens out the flow. since the throttle body is way to the left side.

I was told you would want a larger TB than a 1g with the FRH. Not sure the same is true with the Magnus. I'm guessing that it's not necessary, but a Accufab type would be nice imo. Looks good Sean :)

Just wonderign if anyone has tried the venom intake manifold for our cars, or is it just crap with a brand name.

According to Marco at Magnus, he said they designed them that way because they got a little bit more horsepower out of them versus smoothing them out. :thumb:

Got my 1G magnus intake yesterday, its fearing huge, dsmJim said it best the intake is a work of art. One thing that was not addressed is that you will need new vacuum nipples. the manifold is drilled and tapped with 3. 3/8" holes and 1. 1/4" hole. just get the correct size nipples in those diameters. i cant stress how huge the runners are on the 1G version. if it ever stops raining ill get a chance to finish the install. my hats of to magnus this thing is beautiful.

Verify those dimensions on the threads. Mine was 3 1/8" NPT's and a 5/16".

yeah maybe thats why only one vac nipple from the old manifold fit. i called them from the hardware store mine was drilled 3/8" and 1/4" no big deal the old vac nipples were old and rusty anyway.

If I am not mistaken the ignition core on the 1g is connected to the stock intake manifold, where would the core go with the magnus intake mani on?

Boy does that look familiar, I ran into an issue with the stock threaded studs not being threaded far enough in to the shaft. I just replaced all 4 with shorter threaded rods from the hardware store. I don't see how the battery is going to stay in the factory location. ill know better tomorrow when I get further into it.
