Mag fitment problem

Hi, I have a set of Evo X MR bbs wheel 18x8.5 +38 and I want to put them on my car and I got a fitment problem. The wheel gap outside the fender is 3/4 inch out. Is there a way to fix that? I really want them to fit.


Maybe I need to change parts on the cars to make it fit???

FYI: I have Coilover all around

what size tires are you running?

245/45/r18 by memory. Tires & rims are coming out of 3/4, not only the tire.

You could do a slight pull on the fenders and run a couple *'s - camber, other that than you will have contact issues with your suspension.

Those are more likely 245/40/18s, if these are off an Evo X. I'm rather surprised they stick out that much. Are the control arms stock, no spacers, etc?

no spacer or any modifications on the spindle as I know. It came with Tein Coilover all around with Brembo Disk and 1 piston caliper.


Roll Fender will not resolve my gap, but will be needed ofcourse

Then I'm totally confused since a 245 on a +38 should not stick that far out....

Those aren't Proxes or some other freakishly-wide tire, are they?

They are 245/40r18 Nitto. I put 225/40r18 on the wheels. It strech but now it fit the car.

That's hugely sub-optimal. I suppose you had to do this for now if the tire was at risk of being cut by contact, but 225s are not enough tire for a 3200# pig and stretching is bad in so many ways. I'd sell the wheels. There are plenty of Evo X GSR owners that want the BBS wheels.
