I recently purchased a maft and I was wondering if the white (rpm) wire really needs to be connected? I've searched and found some people that said it does and some say it doesn't. Right now I have a stock turbo with a stock fuel system, so I won't be tuning with it much except to get it running. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You can leave it unconnected. There should be two wires. The white one connects to one of the CAS wires. (I believe the thinner black one). It's used for RPM based tuning which is not entirely necessary. There is also a purple wire which is used for accessory such as nitrous oxide signal.
