MAFT pro boost control set up

I am looking into getting a maft pro and using it for speed density, but I have a question on the boost control side of it.

Anyone using it for boost control that might know what harness I need? At fullthrottlespeed.com they has a small and large boost control harness. The small one says it will work with some factory boost control solenoids so you dont have to use an the maft pro solenoid (extra $70) and extra harness. Do you know if the factory solenoid on a 1G will work with the Pro.

Why do you want to use maft pro to run sd.

Cost mostly....Whole lot cheaper than dsmlink. And it still has the ability to data log and use a laptop with graphs or tune from the hand held.

The factory bcs won't have the capacity to control any decent amount of boost.
You may be able to get away with using an fpr solenoid.
But to be safe and not have to play around, i'd probably just get there solenoid

People have had luck using the fpr solenoid when using the evo8 ecus, since it "blocks" air from reaching the actuator versus the factory solenoid being a "bleed" type. But the factory 1g bcs, simply does not have the hertz capability to keep up with any decent amount of boost.

It wouldn't hurt to maybe try the fpr solenoid first and if it doesn't work out, you can always buy Maft pros solenoid. I believe its the standard gm 3port "block" type solenoid that was used on the turbo t/a

I had a friend that used the Maft-Pro on his grand national and the boost control feature seemed to work pretty good!
