i have been reading everything i could find on this subject but every thing that i read is the opposite of mine. i have had to set my trans to rich (about three clicks) on the idle and mid knobs. then set the afc to zero to get the car to act right. if i richen up the afc i just hit fuel cut sooner. if i lean the afc out the car feels like i am driving a cavalier.

Now my question is that with an eprom ecu with a chip for 950cc injectors (and to upgrade my 550's) will this correct the problem or will it contiue to do this. question two is how can i correct this.

thanks

i for got to mention that if i set the trans to zero and adjust the afc the car just falls on its face. it just hits fuel cut quicker or feels low on power

Do you have some kind of a feed back tool like a data logger...seat of the pant tuning is not recommended so get a feed back tool so you can see whats going on inside the engine ...and if u done have a eprom ecu you can get your non-eprom ECU converted with a board and then you can add DSMlink or DSMchip to the ecu...heres is the link..ECMTuning, Inc. ...:thumb::talon::talon:

yes i do have a data logger. i have a palm but do yoyu think the chip would work or should i get that + dsm link

Sounds like you have a boost leak that is causing the fuel cut. Also you need to get a wbo2 for safe tuning. Guessing your rich or lean is dangerous. I burned a valve tuning like you are off just a logger.

Get a logger and a chip burned for your exact combination, get a wideband, zero out the trans and fine tune with the afc. Then check for boost leaks BEFORE tuning of any sort. You have a major problem if you need to have it 3 clicks rich at idle and mid.
