Lowering The Car. Need Help

ok so i just put 18'' rims on my 95 gst and it deffinitly needs to be lowered. however i am a noob to the whole suspension with the dsms. Im a little low on cash right now so do you guys suggest i get just regular lowering springs or coilovers. and what else is needed with the purchase of either lowering springs and coilovers


also if anyone knows the cheapest ones i can get that are stiill a good product

I bought some cheap ass ebay adjustable lowering springs. The ride quality absolutely SUCKS.. but i only paid like $40 for them shipped to my door and they did in fact lower the car. I have mine slammed more for the look than the ride. It depends on what you want. There is a thread about E-motor USA Coilovers for like 400. They are not a true coilover in the sense you can adjust the rebound rate on the struts. But they replace the entire strut unit and come with adjustable springs. There are several reviews on them in the thread

Im thinking im probably going to lower it 1 1/2. front and back so would it be a better decision to go with just lowering kit?

dont get those cheap coilover kits. They are just for looks. the springs are like half the size of stock ones. So they have less travel and have to be about twice as stiff to make up for weight of the car. Get a real coilover kit, or get a shock and lowering spring combo. Many people with dsm's are happy with just lowering kits. Only most hondas want their car lowered like crazy which is why they get those ebay coilovers as mentioned by

Helpful... There are Megan springs that were on sale a while back I'm not sure if they still are but they're pretty good quality.
