Low Oil Pressure! (Searched Already)

Also oil pressure in not real important

WTF How is oil pressure not important? Although the dash may not tell you much, doesn't mean that it is not needed. Get your facts straight man.

Okay, so the 94 Eclispe has low oil pressure, really low. I read that some others had problems with the sending unit wire being unplugged. But this car does register a little above L. Also, after being driven fast and high rpmed thru the gears it does go up about this much
| |. But still not close to the two optimal lines. Any ideas? Im going to check the pressure sender, to see if that could possibly be the problem.

Check with gauge, Don't trust anything on dash to much. Also oil pressure in not real important just make sure the cams are getting oil. Does it have lifter tick?

Im an noob when it comes to Engines ( I have the basics down), but by lifter tick I take it would mean, the lifters up by the vavle's aren't getting enough lubed (oil) thus causing ticking...

Nope No ticking. Also seems to run fine.

I didn't say oil pressure isn't important, all I was trying to say as long as everything is getting oil you don't need to worry about the pressure. Low is pressure is generaly caused by low oil level because it can't be picked up. Or bad bearings. If the top end of engine is getting oil your good. Just open the oil cap while running and if your see oil sloshing around I wouldn't worry to much. If it's making it that far then you more than likely have oil in turbo too.

Pull off the sender, screw in a pressure gauge, and see if you have low pressure or not. Don't expect much from an animated idiot light.
