Hey, My wife has bought a 98 Talon AWD mostly stock(with intake and b gauge). On the way home the car run around 13psi. Over the weekend I have removed the BCS restrictor installed upper/lower greddy piping with RS BOV, ported the stock turbo(very good shape), injen intake pipe, sbr exhaust mani(ported) and rewired the fuel pump. Now the car will not run anymore then 9-10 psi?? I have swapped the BCS off my car checked for boost leaks(very minor t/b shaft leak at 10 psi) but will hold up to 20psi, checked vac hoses and routed vacuum lines as on the diagram. Need some help please..the car sat for a while with the battery disconected would the ECU need time to learn things??

Paul, test run with the actuator fitting open. If problem persist, compression, intake leaks, exhaust leaks or a dying turbo is what you need to look into. If you get all out boost like you should, then the problem is with the mbc or the routing of it.

I just re-read your post again and I think the problem is what you did to the BCS. If so. you should get all out boost on your test run.

I just came back from testing and left the w/g unplugged and it will go above 20psi, so the turbo and engine is working OK. Just did the compression and its pretty even at 165psi. The turbo will get the 9-10 psi at 2200rpm when WOT in 3rd at 1900rpm..

I think you're fine, something must have happened when you remove the restrictor which rendered the bcs usless. I bet if you remove the bcs altogether you will get the same 9-10 psi which is the actuator spring rating. Get her a mbc and she will be all set, we are about to pick up a 95' AWD auto for my girlfriend as well. :thumb:
