So i just installed my new EVO III 16g. Its ebay junk but that can be discussed in a different thread. So i hooked everything up right (im pretty sure) the only thing im wondering about is the Vac lines. it goes from the turbo to a T then one line goes to the Boost Control Solenoid and the other goes the a T between the line between the intake manifold and the blow off valve. So i go to start up my car and everything is all good. My old stock turbo was boosting around 12 PSI. So when i step on the throttle it only boosts to 10 PSI and feels alot slower than before!!! The only thing i can think of is that the old waste gate actuator was worn out and let it boost higher? Let me know what you think.:talon:

Get a MBC and NEVER tee into your BOV line as a boost source. Tap a hole into your J-pipe and get a screw in type nipple from Home Depot and use that as your boost source.

MBC will obviously fix it. I was just really surprised when my boost went DOWN after the bigger turbo. i even did the free mod on the boost control soleniod. Why is it bad to tap into the BOV line?

new turbo has a different wastegate acutator, so it obviously takes less pressure to open

Many people say that you shouldnt tap into your bov line because you will get less pressure for your bov. Which means it wont open as fast. IF you dont want to tap your j-pipe you can always use the p-line on your throttle body. That is what I am doing right now. Also at that low of boost if will feel like the same or slower turbo because its effincency is at 15psi or above.
