I was boostin 14 psi and had been driving around and turned my car off got back in and was all the sudden boostin only ten i have intake exhaust and a manual boost controller i have played with the boost controller and it does nothing i turned it up and down and neither way affects it at all. just wonderin what might be wrong

i checked it out and the mbc is on right but the bov could be it

Could you explain what your boost leak test consisted of? If you did it correctly you would know if your bov was leaking. Hopefully you charged the system with a compressor and then listened/looked for leaks. Maybe the bov valve is not closing completely at times. Mine did that once. You could need a stiffer spring. What type of bov are you running? Your vehicle profile says bov, but does not specify beyond that. Thanks and good luck!

Well i took it to a shop they did it said no leaks i looked at what you said took it back and they said the bov is wearing out they said its not completely gone yet but just about

From the mod list you mentioned in your first post, I'm assuming you have the stock plastic BOV that's known to leak. You should consider replacing it with something else such as a 1g BOV, Greddy Type S, or similar.

Unless it's a performance shop, they won't even know what a BLT is. And if it IS a performance shop, chances are they won't even waste time doing a BLT. They'll just tighten down some couplers and charge you money.

Start doing the work yourself. BLT is the best place to start.

There is some potential that I will be wrong here especially as it related to a stock bov, but there really isn't a point where a bov is on its way out...at least not a point that can be checked without taking the bov apart and looking for cracks in the diaphragm which I'm pretty sure they didn't do.

Generally a bov either leaks or it doesn't. Don't take it back to that shop, take the money that you would pay them and buy the tools you need to do the boost leak test yourself, God knows you'll be doing it often enough while you own the car that you might as well be able to do it yourself.

If you do still have the original bov that came with the car do yourself a favor and go ahead and turn your boost back down to stock levels and then go and get an upper intercooler pipe with a 1g bov, this should have been your second mod (after a boost gauge).

Edit: your profile does say you have a bov as an upgrade, it would be good to know what type of bov it is, the more descriptive you can be with your mod list the better we can help you when you have problems. Also how is your bov attached? Do you have an upper intercooler pipe with the right flange or an adapter?

When my bov was dumping into the intake I couldn't boost above about 9psi and I heard a fairly loud and constant whistling noise whenever I was into boost, have you had a recent new noise start appearing?
