So i know there are a lot of connections around this area. So my question is. Where would this leak most likely be coming from? It seems to be leaking when i am driving. It does drip when the car is at a stop in the driveway, But i cannot tell where the leak is exactly coming from. The whole are is soaked with oil right behind the oil filter. Has anyone had problems with this? And what would be my first spot to check? thanks for any help guys!

Anything. I usually would clean the area with a rag and then drive it, and watch for the fresh oil line. Could be your front main seal, to the oil pump assembly gasket, or even your cam shaft seals.

I have cleaned and test drove to look for fresh oil trails. But i just go around the block to find a mess of oil again. And i cannot just let it idle because it will not leak. Very irritated right now.

did you recently change the oil? make sure that if you did that you didn't leave the rubber ring on the motor from the old filter.

I've had that happen a couple times, wasn't paying attention and the ring stuck to the filter housing.

so i jus took off the lower timing cover to have a better look. Turns out i have oil on my auto tensioner. dont know if leaking oil lower would be able to reach there. Or maybe something is leaking in that area?

have oil anywhere around the head gasket?

No oil around the head gasket. But i have noticed a large amount of oil coming from what i believe is either the oil pickup line for the turbo, or the return line. (goes from bottom of the turbo to the oil pan).

So today i took that line (more like a tube) off today to reseal it. I am hoping that is my issue. I am going to wait until tomorrow to drive it. Try and give the parmatex time to set up and cure all the way. I will let you guys know if that was my problem. Should be though, that is the only leak i could find. Thanks for the help.

So. Back to square one. I resealed that oil return from the turbo. and i still have a leak. I am pretty sure the front main seal is bad :-(. That is the only thing i can think of that would get oil on my auto tensioner by leaking. (i have already checked my cam seals). Thanks guys for the ideas, but im 99% sure its the main.
