u sure u dont have blue smoke comin out? did u tried puttin a piece of cardboard under the car?
did u tried a compression test or a leakdown test?

It is normal to not get the same, exact amount of oil out of the drain as you put in topside. Notice how, when you add oil, it never seems to stop pouring, even if only barely coming out? Same thing goes on inside your engine. This is not to say such a shortage isn't worth being somewhat concerned.

You are losing oil and it's either a leak or burn.

Best places to look for leaks on a 2GNT:
*along the valve cover gasket
*between the head and the block on the back right corner (driver's side, rear corner)
*behind the cam gears (remove access panel on timing belt cover to inspect)

If you come up clean and dry in those places, then you should do a compression test. Compression tester is under $40 at Autozone and instructions can be found here and on 2GNT if you need them. This will tell you if your rings are shot. A leakdown test might be required to test the valves, but I think you would see smoke if the valve seals were leaking.

Consider how long you go between oil changes. Now take that ~3qts of oil and divide it up equally between all those days. That's not very much oil at all when you think about it. Since you are not watching the exhaust constantly, you might never notice the little bit of smoke when you compression brake around a corner or otherwise downshift.

I wouldn't be too worried about this now. Just be sure to check your oil level every time you get gas so that you can see how the level is faring. I would also advise you NOT switch to sythetic. It tends to find ways past seals in older engines already losing oil.

Check this stuff out and report back. You aren't going to get a magic answer in thirty minutes and bumping threads is frowned upon here, so be cool and do some homework. I've been running on a blown headgasket, losing a quart of oil per tank of gas for a full year, now, with no ill effect. I'm just preparing myself for how much it takes to get my head flat. :p

yeah im deff theres no blue smoke i had my friend drive behide me ... we drove for bout 30 min and no smoke .... i did look around the engine bay .. i put it up on stands and there is oil every where so i have know idea i was just wondering where it could be coming from

Clean all of the oil off (degreaser or brakeclean works best) start the car and look for oil leaking from the places listed above. You should be able to see where it's coming from. If you can't see anything leaking, take the car for a short drive and then check it again. You should be checking your dipstick occasionally between oil changes to see if you are losing oil. I check mine everyday.
