My timing belt broke while pulling into my driveway. My head had to be rebuilt bent most of the valves. I replaced the headgasket and put the head back on. The oil pump pulley was messed up to so i had to replace the oil pump and pulley. I timed the car at top dead center. The car idles pretty well but i took it for a test drive and i seems to have no power. It is building boost and but its like the car just doesnt have the power it did before the belt broke. I also checked my pistons and rods to make sure they were ok and they were. I checked for boost leaks and made sure all the couplers were tight. I thought maybe the timing needs to be fine tuned, but thought i would check and see what others thought about my problem.

The good old process of elimination would suggest you time it correctly and if the problem is still there, the problem lies elsewhere.

If the problem is still there, try a leak down test. Compression aswell. Maybe even have a look a the ignition system.

Very lucky you were in your driveway, and not at walmart.... 20 miles away.

Leak down test, when you drive are the rpms jumping up and down?

Im going to rent compression tester and timing light tomorrow then ill get back to everybody and thanks for the advice

oh yeah i noticed that when idling the rpms move from around like 800-1000 so yeah it does jump just idling?
