2G Loose Red Wire

So my 30a ignition fuse blew and while I was in my engine bay I noticed this red wire hanging loose. When I touch it to the positive terminal my engine will turn over and the terminal will spark. I think it's my alternator or starter cable but I have no clue where to hook it up.

It goes to the starter. My step dad thinks the previous owner may have used it because they had troubles starting it with the key at some point. I'm just gonna cover it up.
