can you guys help me to find the best one.
i have evo16g and hopefully about 320hp

Screw the ACT 2600, get the RRE X-Clutch. RRE made there X-Clutch because they got sick of warrentying broken 2600's.

The ACT 2600's like to blow out springs.

Guess why you have had no problems? It's 4 years old. ACT changed manufactors or someshit and thats when all the issues started to come up.

Here is an interesting read for you, helped me decide againest buying a new ACT 2600.

My friend had an ACT 2600 for 3 years with no issues and then he finally had to replace it. Guess what happened when he got the new ACT 2600 last year? He had 2 of them die in 5 months. Springs popped out on both and yes he had the pins in the block/trans.

He changed to a RRE X-Clutch which is basicly an upgraded design of the ACT style clutch and has not had anymore issues.

Then again some users dont have issues but I felt enough did to warrent me staying away from there clutch.

Check out how beefy the X-Clutch is

I loved the act 2600 in my 94 awd dsm... (mated with stock flywheel but stepped correctly)

the one in my 90 awd dsm has 30k on it almost... no problems. (mated with a fidanza flywheel)

Let's try not to turn this into an "ACT is crap" thread. It was proven that it was not their clutches at fault.

I have yet to see such proof. As far as I'm concerned it is a clutch issue.

Most people who say there ACT 2600 works fine have older ones made before the production changes. Most of the ones who DO have problems say there clutch was made after the production change. Sure some people don't have issues but a lot do.

Explain to me how loyal ACT users who have NEVER had an issue with the old 2600 clutches, used them for years, know how to properly install them buy a new style one and have 2 or 3 of them go out in a few months? Then they change to another brand of clutch such as the RRE, Slowboy, Centerforce or something else and have no more issues.

Don't give me that installed incorrectly shit either. Sure some people are missing the dowel pins but there is NO way everyone having issues installed them wrong.

I personally know someone who had a couple of them go out and I know he installed them right. I also know he had NO issues with the old style ACT 2600 and his problems did not start until the new design clutch went in. He changed to the RRE X-Clutch and has had no issues since then.

If your planning on running that 7 bolt for a while I wouldn't recommend the act 2600 as it puts alot more prusseure on the thrust bearing. If your car is going to crankwalk this will defently speed up the process. I'm running an EVOIII16g and will be using a centerforce dual friction clutch & this is what I would recommend to you. Slightly less thrust bearing pressure compared to the act 2100 and has more holding power, 400 ft/lb according to RRE.
