Looking for opinion on new turbo purchase.

I have a 91 gsx and have quite a bit of upgrades and according to the parts list the next thing is a new turbo. I would like to go with a hks turbo and I was just wondering if I need to get a new manifold to accommodate for this type of turbo?

HK$ is more expensive then most others. Look around and see what others are running.

why an HKS turbo? they are just Way overpriced, I mean there like 2-3k! a nice Garret, PTE or other turbo for under 1500 max. would be an awesome buy, and therese lots of options that dont require you to change manifolds to a t3/t4 style. Check out all these turbos' first before you go HKS

I guess its just that the money part is not an issue its just that I would want something thats going to help me out more in the end.

well then. i wish i were you w/ lots of money! HKS makes great turbo's, and they use a lot of extra coatings for the turbo's too. Yes you will need a different manifold and complete ex. w/ a HKS turbo. HKS uses a V-band connector for both intake and ex. and ive personally never had experience w/ them
