looking for nice body kit

Don't listen to the sheep. If you want a kit, get a kit. Just be wary of knock-off fiberglass. Look for a name brand FRP kit to ensure quality and durability.

That said, not a day has passed since I molded by rear bomex bumper and no name side skirts I didn't regret it. What I wouldn't give to be able to go back and just keep the 2ga Talon stock body. Soooooo much easier to drive.

OP: To be honest, you arent going to get much advice on body kits here as this is a performance based site. If it isnt really performance related its kind of frowned upon. I do agree, if done right there is a couple kits that look alright but the majority just look hideous.

here is what you should do, focus on maintenance, build big power and worry about exterior last.

still this looks great but I think it has a 2jz engine

EDIT: I think most of us on dsmtuners hate body kits only because fast and furious and seeing people running the streets with primmered/unfinished bodykits, I myself included. if you do get a body kit make sure its made by extremedimensions.com, they have really flexible kits unlike the fiberglass ones.

EDIT again, here is the vid, skip to 1:10

/99eclipsegsxdsm.. Thanks for the advice. I'm thinking on just the 2gb front bumper, maybe side skirts and the high rise spoiler. But that's on hold for now. I recently tried to do a timing belt change and everything wrong. My car starts rough and idles up and down rough as well. Idk what the problem is. Hopefully timing off and not bent valves. Note: original belt didn't break, just doing maintenance.

Not at all. Just saying you can almost telegraph how "bodykit threads" will go on this site. All it takes is one person writing "leave it stock" and the rest of the members jump on board.....

It's not that "the rest of the members jump on board" it's that we all like the original eclipse body style. Anybody start a thread with "2g and bodykit" together in the same sentence and it's off to the races to try and convince the op to not ruin his ride. :nono:

You'll be forever looking. All body kits look atrocious on these cars.. A customized 2GB Eclipse bumper possibly with a lip is the only way to go.

OEM is the way to go IMO. However, like a few have said, if you ant a kit get a kit. Obviously if you do get a kit be prepared to be flamed.
