Looking for help with a street tune after new motor.

I recently just finished a build on my 97 talon awd. I bought the car not running with a blown HG or so he said. It was previously tuned using ecm link on speed density. I dont have experiece using ecm link but im pretty savy tech wise. After the new motor was put in the main engine harness was garbage so i switched it out with a fresh one off a 99 and used the speed denisty adaper cable to run speed density off the maf plug. For the life of me i could not get the car started using speed density. I used the tutorial for speed density step by step and they only way i could get it to start up is using the stock maf. Ive been breaking it in and have about 200 miles on the car and everything is ok but it seems to lean out under throttle a bit. I have a date set at boostin performace to get tuned but the soonest i can get in is over 2 months away. I dont want to do any damage to my car by leaning out so i was hoping i could find some local help to maybe get the speed density working so it could be running properly off its last tune untill i can get it in for a proper tune.

You need to post a log in ECMtuning's forum, we can surely help you over there. Sounds like you need to go through your VE tables and make some changes.

what values should i log to send in? and should i log it running off the maf or trying to start using speed density?

Rpm, battery, map sensor, Iat, wbo2, tpsvolts, airflowperRev, front o2, combinedft, Iscpos, cooltemp,timing, afratioest, boostest.

Post one you trying to start in sd and running with maf

How far is it leaning out?? You should be OK as long as you aren't getting into boost/WOT

its not too bad staying out of boost/WOT like you said, probably hitting 16 if i shift around 3-3500
