2G Looking for brake advise

My stock rotors/pads need to be replaced soon, also I will be rebuilding the calipers. Its for a 1997 talon tsi AWD.

Looking for input on ebay type parts, I normally don't do ebay type parts, but I need to save all the money i can at the moment (but also don't want to die because I bought crap brakes). What do you guys think of this kit? Rotors are gold and zinc with ceramic pads? Looking for input, I know very little about brake parts. Thanks guys

I'd pass on the drilling of the rotors. At the most slotted ones but I prefer quality basic disks. http://www.ebay.com/itm/COMPLETE-KI...?fits=Model:Talon&vxp=mtr&hash=item51d934303b is what they're offering on ebay (I think for your car). These won't kill you but they are cheap brakes.

The R1 Premier Series are the better rotors from them but the price difference is sigificant.

Another option would be to hit up the local NAPA auto parts. They carry Brembo blanks (rotors); the fronts costs ~$55 dollars apiece. Not sure on the back rotors, but just an FYI.

My GSX has different brakes but for a daily driver they are perfect and cost a little more than the ebay ones.

The high carbon fronts are $46 each and the rears $34 each. That coupled with some good pads and you're set.
