I know I know bench racing but I am trying to see what if anything I need to change. I currently have a small 16g greddy FMIC all the upgraded piping, GM MAF with translator, 560 evo injectors, dsm link walboro 255, and ADFPR. this is on a 6 bolt swap in my 95 TSI

now I believe I will need a bigger turbo and larger injectors for this goal. thinking a 20g or HX 35, and 720cc injectors. will this be enough?

I am also considering a new cyl head with some port work and larger valves, and a set of cams any suggestions? this is for a daily driver

I am a 40 y.o. guy who enjoys good project, but I dont wanna buy unneccesary parts if i can avoid it, the current njectors and turbo were on the car when I bought it

Hx35 should make it pretty easy. You can do it on a stock head too, just grab some comp2 cams (or similar). For fuel injectors 750cc should be fine, can you get E85? Then you'd want like 1000-1200cc but youll get to 400hp easier and safer.

Well a larger turbo and bigger injectors are for sure. Do u have cams in the car? You should be able to reach that kind of power with some 272's and 750+ injectors with a larger turbo. Over sized valves and porting may be a lil bit overkill in your goals, but they wont hurt. Personally I would run some 880's or 1200cc injectors and either pump gas on the smaller or E85 on the larger. E85 burns cooler, so you will keep your engine temps down by running E85. Just do your research and im sure you will meet or beat your goals.

Porting is great. Labor is not cheap, but there is nothing to buy and many can do this themselves. I would run 1000 cc injectors, but I don't have numbers to back that number up. More fuel is better and will protect you investment. Cams.........This will start a flame war. HKS has some new cams out that are suppose to rock the house. They have been an industry leader for many years.....and you pay for that. A 264/272 or 272/k272 combo would be good. Fp2 are great. These are what I run in my DD. GSC has a huge Evo crowd behind them as well as Piper. Turbos......ANOTHER flame war. 20G or HX35 would work. I would say an FP Green or FP Black. Again personal choice and pocket book will decide.

If you cant get e85 maybe you should look into methanol injection. It cools intake temps drastically. Some compare meth+pump gas to race fuel because it cools the intake charge which reduces knock.

no cams yet been researching, as far as the head goes I need to redo allthe seals because i am burning oil and had burnt a valve a few weeks ago. I fixed but it was just a bandaid type of fix. so Icould drive it to work. never looked into E85 dont know much about (Iwill ask around) I also heard something about not being able to run anything over 1000cc injectors with the Link any truth to this. because didn't buy anything yet,

I ran 1600s on link and plan on running 2150s this summer. I dont dink around with link much. My tuner does, but he can do it so Im sure anyone that knows how to can. What version of link do you have? Also E85 is one of the best upgrades you can make! I seen 43hp just by switching! Plus boosted car/E85 is amazing so if its readily available I would make that first on your list.:hellyeah:

You will be able to reach your goal easily without porting or oversized valve. Those may actually hurt your low end instead of helping out with such a "low" HP goal. Upgrade to a 20g or larger turbo of your choice( I run a TD05 20g). Run the highest octane gasoline plus meth or E-85. Pair the E-85 with 1000's or larger to keep you IDC's low. I would run the E-85 setup over the gas plus meth. Less to buy and less parts to worry about failing or running out (like the meth kit). I had signficant gains from switch over to E-85. I was running 19psi on a 20g with low timing(8-9 peak) on 93 and was still trying to get knock under control. With the switch over to E-85 I run 26 psi and 19 degrees of timing up top and she pulls like a train! No knock either. Its an awesome fuel. I (and everyone else that runs it) highly reccommend it. It takes you to a new level LOL

PS- Heres info about ecm link-http://www.ecmtuning.com/wiki/v3summary
Its a great tuning program.

Also you can run as big of injectors as you want. You just have to dial them in (dead times and global settings).

not to jack his thread but does the 20G fall off up top? and what kind of power are you making? Reason I ask is I wanna run this on the auto awd I just picked up with out forking over the dough for a HTA68. (not saying there equal either)
