Looking at another 92 talon

I'm looking at another 92 eagle talon for my bro, it seem it is drivable but the guy says he didn't get the head machined when he had it rebuilt and say it over heats after about 30-40 miles he says it doesn't have low compression but it overheats? does this sould right? Say it needs a new head gasket.

Yes with an uneven head on an even block surface, the head gasket in between them is bound to get messed up. Since it is blown your coolant will be contaminated and coolant will be leaking into the cylinders. Blown headgaskets almost always cause the car to overheat. This would be pricey to replace if you took it to a shop, but if you have lots of time and the knowledge or some one else with the know-how you only have to pay for the head gasket.
