is there a way to get longer gears by changing out the gears from one cars transmiton to my GSX's trans??? My friend did it with his MR2 buy switching his with the gears from a 99 toyota Silara

This may not make sence but cant think of any other way to word it

I have never heard of anyone trying to do this. I know that several transmission companies...ie shep, TRE, Magnus, etc.....make taller 5th gears to put into DSM transmissions. As far as I know that is the only option you have unless you custom match gear sets for the front and rear diffs. I'm unaware of any companies that are making alternate ratios for the DSM differential.
