I decided to buy the shelf model of the new tubular manifold Logic Performance will be carrying in 2 weeks which is displayed in the vendor/sponsor section. After I purchased it, I forgot to inquire on the collector size. Chris mentioned that it was around a 6.7 measurement. Keep in mind this will be going on a t04B v-trim. Is it possible usually to open up the collector a bit? .3cm seems like alot for a tubular manifold, but i've never owned one as of yet. If I leave it, will I be losing much performance. I'll be writing a review with pictures and install once I get it sometime this week.

well your talking about 1.5MM. Yes that CAN be alot. I would want to know the material and especially the thickness of it.

Just a referance.. schd 40 pipe is about 3 MM thick. No imagine removing half it's thickness... and just how strong it would be afterwards, especially at 1200+ degrees... :(

Well since its a radius thats being removed, it would actually be about .75mm off all around. Regardless, strength would still be a concern for me. I guess I'll have to wait til I get it to really say. I'll take a pic and maybe someone can make a judgement.

Actually I already did the half radius thing on my post. .3 of a centimeter is 3 MM. In the radius that is 1.5MM... ;)

Stop buying half-ass products to save half your money, spend the right amount the first time and you don't have to port and rig shit.

OK, dad. I didn't know you were monitering my purchase list. Looks like someone needs a life outside of tooners. Stop acting like you know something, wasting webspace, creeping people out, and stay on topic for a change. No where did I ask for a judgement call on my purchase habits or thoughts about the craftsmenship of the product.

And who is to say its a half-ass product? Have you tested this manifold? From my knowledge this product hasn't even been released yet. You don't know me nor my setups, only what I've posted recently. For all you know, I could be doing a vendor a favor. It's not as if I'm broke, nor do I see $100 that big of a difference to spend on a manifold when i've already spent this much. I run sac-dsm and logic is one of our vendors. I think it would be helpful to the rest of the dsm group to see what potential products are out there. And I'm willing to try it. $399 isn't that much to me. But to some, $100 difference can mean alot. Looks like good craftsmenship, fairly inexpensive, and it has a 6month warranty. The 6.7cm opening was only knowledge after the fact. So thus I asked and started this post. And now you have me going off on a tangent. How about you stop being judgmental on people, get a life, and be helpful in your posts.

All Mirage2LTurbo is saying is you get what you pay for. Don't go head hunting for the best deal and expect top quality. People on this fourm do it all the time, and then when they realize you get what you pay for, they post on tuners asking, "do you think this is good enough?" Obviuosly you wouldn't have posted if you had your doubts about this product. These cars have been around long enough that people know what works and what dosen't.

Don't get bent out of shape, if it works for you great :thumb:

Sorry, dealing with women issues is jadeing me. I see what he's saying and didn't mean to get bent outta shape. But after doing some more searching, i'm pretty sure this design was copied off of DNP's manifold. Even the collector of a DNP isn't 7cm (at least I don't think it is). Take a look at this picture off of their website:

http://www.dnperformance.com/images/header04.jpg

The design looks pretty much dead on. And judging from that picture, the opening of the DNP as well looks to be closer to stock then a 7cm opening. We'll see I guess. Anyone with a DNP they haven't installed yet?
