Aloha all,
As you probably know my tranny is fuc**d but of course that does't stop me from putting new parts on the Talon. So this weekend I put on 550's an AFPR and the Buschur Racing 3" turbo back exhaust(no cat) Everything went together really well and the exhaust is just downright mean. So I hooked up the poketlogger and decided to log some fuel trims as best I could. Thing is, I got some kindas strange results. Maybe you guys can help me interpret...
First log is in 1st gear from a stop:
RPM-5125
Knock-4
Timing-37deg
Injector/DC-5%
O2 Voltage-0.39v
o2 Trim-100%
FTH-100%
FTL-100%
Second Log is the same circumstances:
RPM-4968
Knock-0
Timing-42deg
Injector/DC-5%
O2 Voltage-0.43v
O2 Trim-100%
FTH-100%
FTL100%
Then as I pull into my parking lot with the clutch in at idle my O2 Trim shoots up to 167% I am a little confused...the log numbers look good, almost too good, but the backfire at the top(5000rpm) of first makes me think I am running rich...like I should be. Do these numbers make sense to any of you. Any input would be much appreciated. BTW-The rest of my mods are in the profile. Thanks for any help.

Unfortunately, with the state of the transmission and the clutch slipping so badly, I am unable to get a full 1-2-3 pull. What I was attempting to ascertain was what kind of changes the upgrades I had done were causing. Previously, my FT's were at 139%(with stock injectors, FPR and exhaust) but the O2 voltage was around .85v Now my fuel trims are at 100% (where they should be, right?) but the O2 voltage has dropped substantially. My car idle surges back and forth between 800-1100rpm with 0% correction on the SAFC-II; however, I can stabilize my idle by adding +10% to the 800 and 1200rpm points. This however has no effect on the LTFT or O2 voltage and by the small puffs of smoke from my exhaust and by the heavy smell of gas, this seems to be overly rich. Basically, I am trying to generate a rough baseline correction map for the SAFC-II based on the airflow and fuel system changes I have made to my car. They consist of 255lph pump, 550's, AFPR, hacked MAF(lower honeycombs removed, no air can, K&N filter)Buschur UICP, Bushur 3" turbo-back w/"test pipe". I was hoping the small amount of log data I was able to capture would be able to generate some insight as to the state of my tuning; however, it seems the slipping clutch is pre-loading the engine too much to get accurate readings. I know that all cars are different but could someone please explain the percentage changes in volumetric fuel and air pressure that my stated mods would generate; and offer possible opinions as to some baseline numbers for fuel tuning. Sorry for the previously vague post, hope this is helpful information. Thanks in advance for any educated help/opinions/experiences.

why didn't you put all that money into a nice tre or shepard tranny? those parts will be useless if you can't get power the wheels.

Actually, I am rebuilding my tranny with TRE internals right now. I have only had the car for 1.5 months(2 weeks of which I was on vacation) so I have been limited as to the progress I could make on major upgrades. Anyway... This was a fuel tuning question. Can you offer any insight on the question or did you just want to critique the methodology of my project? Thanks for any help with my question.

Tony, is there anyway you can post the entire log from 3000-7000 rpm. I can't really tell anything about your car from two rpm points. Maybe a hard 1st, or 2nd gear pull would be better data to analyze. It seems like these numbers are not at WOT, and they should be. Kind of an off topic question, have you ever played any online computer games such as Tribes? Lates..

Give us more to work with. One random RPM point (the second one even looked like you had let off the throttle) isn't going to tell us anything.
