Car mods in my profile. MBC turned all the way down.

Just need some advice on what to tinker with. I cant get my front O2 to cycle and not sure why. Brand new Bosch sensor.

Also my WB and link are lined up right and read way lean.

Upon backing out of the barn I notice that I get just a tid bit of knock, so I want to get rid of that before I go for a cruise.

Thanks for looking.

Im still looking at your log from another laptop. On the Als/Knock tab set the knock control to 2200 rpm and 50% tps to minimize the possible phantom knock you have.
How did you install the wideband ? Can you post a longer log with more captured values as well.

Edit: check your displayed values, LinWideband should be displayed on your log...I can see 17 afrs...lean, but i think its not reading due to non cycling from front o2

What more would you like me to capture? Also I installed the wideband like it says. 3 foot down stream, red wire power, black wire ground, yellow wire to EGR pin on ECU (forget what pin it is exactly).

Also LinWideband is logged, I just renamed it MTX-L WB for ease of finding it in link at a quick glance.

yellow on pin 4,15, 0r 16 ?
Brown unused right? Since you are using narrowband. Also after the 02 is cycling , the Linwideband needs to be adusted by double clicking it. The min volts and min lamba need to be corrected. Display RawLinWB from Raw values to get voltage.
Check out bottom of this link for more info. https://www.ecmtuning.com/wiki/linearitems
Can you recheck pin install for wideband, im surprised it does not cycle :hmm:

Pin 15. And yes brown unused.

Let me run out and get the car started and grab the RawLinWB volts. May be a couple mins as its cold out.

Pin 15 is Egr temp....:ohdamn: I just noticed on the Ecu inputs the wideband is on Front o2 thats pin 4,since you used 15 switch it to EGR Temp (used for narrowband simulation)

Edit: Also from what im reading to make narrowband sim easier and in my case as well, yellow is spliced into pin 4(Front o2) and narrowband sim in Link is enabled.

Good catch. Switched it and pulled another log, I had the heat on at the first 10 seconds then noticed it and shut it off for the remainder of the log.

I have a narrowband front O2 up there, and the WB is just for reading AFR's.

The O2 is starting to cycle. I'll post up another log.

Had narrowband sim checked and I don't know why. Heres another log with out it.

I completely missed the 3 feet downstream part. You are still using the stock front o2 and thats why you did not use pin 4. You are only going to be able to log the Mtx-L as external value. You will uncheck narrowband simulation in Link then and log Linwideband or Mtxl.. Your displayed values are not showing for me, im having to check F9 for displayed values

Hmm that's weird that they are not showing. I attached another log in my last post (the one labeled 1 14 4) and that's the lastest log with everything corrected and the stock front O2 cycling.

Im not sure why my software is doing that, its ok..ill keep displaying it. Well things are looking better now bud :thumb:

You got it ! Im looking at the wideband reading shoing 15,16 afrs its lean at idle, i was reading more on this link https://www.ecmtuning.com/wiki/linearitems and says to lock into open loop mode while logging RawLinWB for volts. You can try to lock front o2 voltage for more than 20 sec on ecu inputs.

Force it to read 14.7 and record the raw voltage displayed to get max volts and set max lambda to 1.0...Enter these values by double clicking the wideband value. Then Min volts and min lambda in link above. Im not sure if there is an easier way for all this. Brian would be awesome to chime in on this when he sees it,

Alright, got another log posted and this is what's going on...

I am wanting to use the front stock O2 and just have the WB that's 3 feet down stream of the pipe to use as a reader. My MTL-X is logged on link, and link and the WB read right but its way off from what my AFRatioEst is. As you can see in my log my WB reads 17ish a lot. The front O2 is brand new.

I am totally lost on how to get link/WB and my AFRatioEst to line up.

Alright I've figured my problem out on the WB reading lean. Anyways I've got a cruise log and was just looking for more advise as I'm just getting into link. Thanks.
