Logging Boost w/ MDP 3-Bar Evoscan

I would like to be able to log boost. I have EvoScan, and soon plan to do the MDP swap for a GM 3-bar. I think the Evo guys do this and can log boost with EvoScan. Will that work on my 98 Spyder GS-T ECU?

I'd like to have posted this in Ceddy's ECU Flash thread, but I am still too new (in the eyes of DSMtuner).

My ultimate goal is the Ceddy Speed Density code. I'd like to be able to log Boost via the mdp/3-bar (which I believe is also the MAP source for the SD code) as well as log calculated Load.

Yes, I believe Ceddy is using the MDP sensor input for SD. So, just use the MDP sensor wires to connect to a GM 3 BAR MAP sensor instead, and change the formula in EVOSCAN so it reads boost for you. The standard formula in EVOSCAN is wrong for that address anyway, as they called it an EGRT sensor, if I recall. You will also need to disable the EGR and MDP checks in the periphery bits.

Some of the emissions stuff will be activated at the wrong time with a 3-BAR hooked up to the MDP. Should disable them in Periphery Bits if you are able to flash.

If you are using CeddyMods I have already added 3-BAR item to log in EvoScan.

If not you will need to add an item to EvoScan for the 3-BAR.

If you haven't bought a 3-BAR yet, either the GM 3-BAR or OMNI 3-BAR Plug'n'Play would be the ones to get, I have the scalings for them.
If you plan over 28 psi, you need a larger sensor.

Yes, but you'll throw CELs and have weird emissions activation unless you disable them, a CEL is guaranteed though.

It's spelled out to you in this thread. Buy a MAP sensor, buy a logging cable, buy EvoScan, wire the MAP sensor where the MDP sensor was, change the formulas in EvoScan, and presto.
