I'm familiar with all things Palm IIIc but mine died so I was thinking of replacing it with something nicer like an m130.

I have the www.pocketlogger.com cable and software for my Palm IIIc but I was curious if I can connect to the usb hotsync cable of the m130 and plug that into my Palm IIIc hotsync cable and still connect to my car?

m130 usb>usb reciver on hotsynch cable>cigarette lighter plug>serial connection>pocketlogger cable.

Would that be possible? Does anyone connect to their car using USB to serial to pocketlogger cable?

I'd be careful with a USB Palm. I did a lot of searching a month back to see if I could use my Palm Tungsten E (has USB instead of serial), and couldn't find any logger software+interface that supported it. Their site says that the m130 is supported, but you may need a different interface/cable. I suggest that you email them and ask them these questions before you purchase the newer palm.

Good luck!

I know people using DSMlink were having problems using a USB->Serial adaptors. DSMlink says this ( http://www.dsmlink.com/images/photos/keyspan.jpg ) is the one that they have found to work for their application.

I know you are not wondering about DSMLink but I thought I would throw it out there for you in case you want to try it. For some reason some of those adaptors dont respond fast enough to work with tuning software and DSMLink swears by the one I linked above.
