Hey fellow LV DSM'rs. I am in need of a MAF sensor for troubleshooting for about ten minutes. I am having trouble with my car and just want to narrow it down. First car started running lean during WOT, I looked at the log and noticed that the MAF signal was maxing out at 1600hz by 4500 rpm and as the engine revved up more it would lean out because the ECU thought it wasn't getting any more air. Then it started stuttering and cutting out while driving mostly when you tried to accelerate, then it started cutting out when cruising. Now it wont idle... Here is the screwing thing, I swapped the ROM on the ECU to a SD ROM and it still coughs and stutters under idle nor can I get any Rpms easily so I don't think it is MAF related but I just want to make sure. I have checked, getting good spark, changed plugs, getting good fuel pressure.

How are you logging? The stock ecu code limits logging to 1600hz. It can read more, but won't report it to a logger.

EVO 8 ECU logging with EVOscan. I am 99.9% sure there is something wrong with my MAF. In the log you can see where the MAF Hz climes up to the 1600 Hz and flat lines for a bit. When it does you can see the WB02 starts leaning out. Then the MAF starts to register for a moment and when the Hz drop, the car starts to richen up. Then the MAF goes back up to 1600Hz and the car leans back out... So unfortunately don't think it is the logger.

leepen, sincitydru.

Thank you for the offer. If one of you is closer to the north west corner of the valley it would make things easier. I am about 3/4 of a mile to a mile from Durango and the 95 north.
