recent CL add came up and i asked if he'd split dsmlink. he said yes but then informed me that's its on v2.

question is, is it worth buying then upgrading to v3? the upgrades like $200 right? i offered him $250 for the ecu, link and everything and im waiting for his response but any insight would be great? anything i need to do to make the switch over the v3?

It's $195 to upgrade from v2 to v3. If you're considering buying this, the package NEEDS to come with the v2 OBDII to serial adapter. If it doesn't, you're getting absolutely nothing and will not be able to use it or upgrade. Please make sure to check out the counterfeit wiki page for other references.

It's $425 for a brand new v3 Lite package, and $545 for a v3 Full package. If you can get the ECU and full link package for $250, that'd be a great deal.

if it doesn't come with the adapter do any aftermarket places (ebay maybe) sell them or are they link specific?

great info on that counterfeit wiki page. saving that to my iphone as i type so i can look at the ecu and such before i buy it.

Haven't heard about it. My car is currently down because of backordered AN fittings. I'm hoping they'll be to me in the next 2-3 weeks, but the company had no ETA.

All that matters to me is that my car is up and running for the Carlisle Performance & Style autox
