Light Weight Wheel Style

I'm partial to the Enkei RP03's. Enkei Racing RP03 Special Brilliant Coating I believe Turbo Magazine did a lightweight wheel issue last year and they said that the 17's weighed right at 17#.

the dc5's if you get them wont look like that, theyll be more flat b/c your offset. the ones in the pic are for low offset cars.

I like the Enkei Chrono HT or Ultraleggera. I've been saving for either of those for about a month.

My Evo 8's are about 25-27 pounds with the tire and filled with 35 psi of air.

What?!!! I think you must be a little off there. ^That means the wheel weighs about 7lbs-9lbs, I'm pretty sure there's no 235/45R17 tire that weighs less than 18lbs inflated.

I vote for the Tracklites or DC5s.

I like the DC5's and the tracklites. I like the OZ Crono's and the Enkei RPM2's. I'm so confused.. haha.


I really like these too, but I can't find out how much they weight in a 17x8!!!!! Ahhh!!!

I have to admit Tenzo really stepped it up in the styling dept with the DC5s performance and lightweight with a killer look!

I admit, they look nice, but that lettering kills me along the rim. The DC6 looks good too. 5 or 6 spoke on these cars kick ass.

Motegi Traklites are very light indeed..I have them now wrapped around BFGs DRs and they're still very light

wow there are some great wheels in this thread...

for the thread starter: my vote are the OZ chrono wheels or the wedsports tc005...i don't think i've ever seen a dsm with these, i actually posted a thread on here asking about the tc005 and seeing if there were knock offs available...but for some reason those OZ's are hawt for a simple 5 spoke design...best of luck...make sure you wrap em in at least 235 sticky tires!

or tuesday dependng ont he weather damn blizzard might delay things a bit I got a set of 16X7s with 235 50 16s I had 17s on my car before but it was very harsh. The roads around here suck. Potholes for days!

What size are those? and what size tire do you use?

16x8 50mm offset i believe. I have the ingalls fast cam camber bolts to help dial in some more negative cambers.

i use 1/8th in spacers and it barely clears my kyb gr-2 struts.

Tires on it are Hankook Ventus Z212 225/50/16s which are actually a little wider than some other brand tires... Some dsmers with these have tucked 245s on em but I think you need coilovers and maybe some grinding off at the rear control arm on a 1g to make it clear at that size.

I painted them bronze/gold myself by the way with pep boys paint. I did a little wet sand and i never even used clear coat which i want to go back and do, but they've been looking real decent for 4 or 5 months now painted...

i love the subzeros and the torques from Rota, personally id jump on the group buy deal at JNZtuning. i checked sizes and prices i believe for like a 17x8 for both is like 169 a wheel, that is a great deal!
