does anyone haveany pics of a 1990 to 1991 eclipse with 2g headlights or with custom light so that you dont have to use the flip ups??? :dsm:

Do what i did, covert the 1ga to a 1gb. But then again I have another GSX that i kept looking the stock way. :thumb:

Just leave them flipped down. I hate how they look poped up. You can still see at night with them down, use your high beams. you wont blind anyone because with the lights down the high beams are at about the same level as the regular beam when the lights are up. Please dont use 2g lights or anything else, it will not look right. The 1ga eclipses are works of art.

you can always convert to HIDs, you will need these h4 conversion and a h4 to HID kit

where do you get the bulbs and stuff for that. thats actually pretty sick

thats ###... :thumbdown

Whats the point in showing pics and telling people about it if he doesnt want to share the info?

You can find ideas on how to do that at any other car forum. Try probetalk or a 240 forum. They have basically the same style of popups

Is that the RISQ bumper on that Laser? If so, it matches the rest the kit very well. I think that the rest of the kit is the A&A Specialties kit that is no longer available... :( . That by far is the best looking kit/kit combo I've ever seen and would probably be the only kit I would consider.

*edit - spelling & grammer*

the bumper on that black car is a BOMEX. Also, the way the lights can be done, is to put them in a lower position(you can make them lower than that if you want) and wire up some aftermarket HID driving lights, like that is supposed to go on the bumper. A guy over on MachV. (who is probably on here too, just dont know his username) did that, his lights had the 'lazy eye' look and unless you opened them all the way up you couldnt tell that he didnt have stock headlights, I'll find pics if I can..it's been a lonnnggg while since I've seen any

hi is there a light conversion for the 1g cars so it doesnt have the flip up lights like the RX-7 because i want a carbon fiber hood?

thanks
Matt

Okay, I know that this topic comes up like 3 times a week, but... I really don't think that a conversion from the popups would look that great unless the idea would be to mould the front and get rid of the little front non-popups. Imagine a nice 1G with cool looking clear headlights sitting ontop of those frosty-wavy stock front headlights. :barf: but that may just be me.

check out Kevin90GSX's profile, he has a carbon fiber hood, and pop up covers

I ordered two pair of Hella Optulux 1000 fog lights from www.ptcfactoryoutlet.com and mounted them where the stock bulb was this evening.... once the bulb bracket was out of the way I only had to drill four holes to mount the lamps. I opened up the two outer lamps and removed the diffuser so that the beam would be broader, but left the inner lamps alone. This effectively lights up both the road, the wide angle view on each side of the road and all the far off stuff like road signs as well, is at least 3X brighter than the stock low beams, but does not cause oncoming traffic to flash their lights. the only downside is when wired based on hot and ground only spliced in through the through the headlight harness, there is no brights and dims... only one setting... Bright. I imagine if wired correctly they would work correctly, but im no electrician.

the pop up motors are disconnected, and the lids are set at a stationary height using the adjustment knobs thus the sleepy effect.

Pretty cool. My buddy did the same thing with his 93 Trans Am. I was surprised at how good the lighting was still.

Did your car fall on its face and bust its lip open?

Are you refering to the front air dam being cut open? That was done to accomodate the front mount back when the air conditioning system prevented it from being mounted up flush with the front end. all that has since been removed. Now im just biding my time waiting for a body kit.

otherwise... yes ...In November it busted its lip pretty bad destroying the old front mount, and most of the lower front end. The front end had to be cut off and a new front end was welded in its place. There are a few pics of the carnage posted on my cardomain site

I was just joking, I was refering to the cut up bumper for your FMIC.
