Aight so seeing how my engine started to tick, i decided to take out and remove the lifters to clean them to see if that would help at all. With that said, I know that vfaq.com is mostly for the 4g63 but a lot of the information is still very useful to us 420a's in general. So i have had my lifters soaked in the carb cleaner for a day and a couple hours by now but what im wondering is why don't my lifters have the hole on top of the lifter, like so many others do. Im a noob still but since i have no hole on the top, how do i properly bleed and clean out my lifters? Is the soaking the only thing i can do? According to vfaq, you can pump the lifter by sticking a paperclip through the hole on top to depress the internal valve, yet i dont even have that hole? Am i supposed to have it? Im so confused :[ any help or advice would be great!

The factory 420a lifters don't bleed like that. Either install them and let them sit overnight before turning over by hand to make sure they're bled, or put them in a vice and gently compress them. (fast-bleeding)

Yeah that's funny you said that cause i just put them through the vice before you posted LOL Great minds think alike! :thumb: worked like a charm, but thanks for the input man. Imma let them sit in the cleaner one more time over night, just in case, since i got no light at this time of night to finish now anyways LOL
