Do I really have to jack up my car to remove the front bumper? I don't have a jack to do so, and I need to remove the front bumper to replace my cracked intercooler. I can't burrow a jack either because I'm not even supposed to do car work at my apartment complex, and they will notice my car on jack stands, but won't notice my car without a bumper. I also don't like driving with a boost leak. Do I really have to jack it up to remove the bumper? And do I really have to remove the headlights.

You don't have to remove the headlights but it's highly recommended to use a jack.

I got a 98 gsx. I'll look at your links but everything I found says to remove headlights and use jacks. What can I do so I can quickly disconnect the bumper next time?

You dont need the jack if your bumper top supports are no longer in place! If they are then you cant slide it off as easy with just undoing the bolts and pop clips! To remove the 4 crash bolts you will need the jack then it can be pulled away, the top bumper supports are not needed so can make removal alot easier next time for you so can remove them while its all off

Sweet, hopefully that's all taken out already as the last owner put a big fmic. Thanks.

Pretty much what he said. If you don't have the bumper support, the only bolts you have are the main 5 bolts in the middle and usually 2 bolts on each side of the car next to the side lamps. Just make sure if you have the side lights, twist the light out before pulling off the bumper.

That will be fun, but I don't care too much. My hood is already bent from closing on a tool, so not too worried about alignment.

What you have to look forward to: Removing front bumper:

The side bolts by the side lamps are usually rusted in place and difficult to remove. Therefore I suggest doing them first or everything else will be pointless. http://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/reattaching-front-bumper-to-quarter-panel.471098/#post-153342087

The headlight removal thing: Often to remove headlight assemblies you have to remove front bumper (or lower it slightly) to get at the screw under the headlight assembly (due to bumper pushed tightly up against it). If you can wedge a screwdriver in there w/o bumper scratch damage, then bumper doesn't have to be removed.
