Ive got a weird problem...

When the motor is at constant RPM, over 2500(boost or vacuum), for a decent amount of time, my car leans out and sounds almost like a WRX?..
When i goto give it throttle, it bogs, ALOT!

Im getting 20.0 a/f when this happens and a normal vacuum/boost reading.

Any help on identifying this problem would help me alot. Thank You.

Im using the A/F feature on my turbo timer, which is connected to the stock 02 sensor. Its a narrow band (0-1V). I know its not accurate, but when it goes to 20.0 and no less, i feel confident that is leaning out. I only use the timer to differentiate between "RICH" and "LEAN".

I would take a look at your O2 sensor with a logger. Do you have a logger? When O2 sensors fail, the voltage drops to zero showing the ECU a false lean condition. Some O2's fail completely (reading 0.0v all the time) and sometimes they work intermitently.

Do you have a CEL for "Fuel Trim Malfunction, Bank 1"?

Well 3 yrs later here's the answer.

It was throwing a random misfire code, and I spoke to someone, I cannot remember who, at Victor Research, and they said that one of the wires on the TPS has to be cut to solve this problem.

I'm not 100% positive on the reasoning behind it, but I do remember it worked. On the 4g64 harness, the TPS wire that neds to be cut is the green one.

I'm having an issue in relation to this one. I checked other posts and the answer is either incomplete or unspecified. My car runs fine just cruising around on base going to/from work or PT...but when I hit boost (nothing heavy...even 3-5psi) my car just bogs out and won't boost more than 3-5psi...I'm waiting on a sensor to come in for my AEM wideband so I can see what my AFR is under boost. I feel it's getting really rich and just bogging out. Check my profile for current mods. YESSS...I'm untuned on RC 660's, AEM fuel rail, and Weldon fuel pump. Those are the only fuel upgrades I have...and absolutely no tune. Am I just running my car too rich, boost leak came out fine. I'm ordering an EPROM with a stage 3 keydiver. And I'm going to get ECMlink in the next month or so. If I'm just getting an extremely rich mixture I'm going to throw my 450s back in and hope for the best. I still need an FPR to add to my setup. Any input as to what this might be would be wonderful. My only brainfart as of yet is that it didn't do this until I hooked up my EVC 5. It's hooked up correctly so I'm doubting that's the issue. Before that I had a JoeP Mbc and even with the larger injectors and stronger pump I was still pulling hard until about 14-15psi then it would get a little bumpy due to not being tuned. Really need some help guys so have at it.
