Hey guys what's up so here's the deal I have a leak (pretty big) in my clutch but don't know where! Is almost like it evaporates. Inside the firewall and under the carpet is dry the master cylinder piston is slightly wet but not enough to leak now on the outside the slave is dry all lines are just dirty but no wet and no leak marks on the ground either. I say is pretty big cause I don't even need to push the clutch I fill the reservoir and let it sit 3 days and is empty and I haven't even used the car (is not a dd). I already have bleed the system twice. I want to replace the master, slave anyway and get ss line from master to salve but I really what to know what the hell is going on? Any suggestions?

Until you have removed the carpet from the car to see if there is a stain on the carpet, don't rule out thinking that your master cylinder isn't leaking. You said so yourself that it was showing signs of moisture on the outside of it.

I have had the same problem as you, except I had a really soft, or "ghost pedal". I swore up and down that my master cylinder was not leaking. I decided to exchange it for the second time, and had no more problems. Later on down the road I pulled the carpet to do some power-washing to it, and only once it was out of the car could you easily spot the huge stain that the break fluid had left on the carpet. I would be willing to put money on the fact that you are having the same situation going on.

Hope this helped shed some light on things. Good luck.

You sir are right! :thumb:
I removed the sit and pulled up the carpet, there it was before my very eyes a big yellow stain LOL.
The reason I didn't see this before and the carpet is dry is because when I bought the car a couple years ago I removed the whole interior to clean and repaint and when I put everything back together a put a big plastic sheet between the carpet and the floor so the floor doesn get wet if the carpet does the fluid was under the plastic :ohdamn: well I was going to buy new master anyways thanks man!
