launching fwd in 2nd?

Is that just silly or what..my 1-2 shift is crap anybody launched in 2nd ever at the strip? I looked around it was just awd stuff.

Try it at your next test and tune and compare the times.

Honestly though I think your time will still be better going from 1-2 even though it feels worse to you. A lot of times how something feels is different than what it is haha

I dont get out much just the big events so I usally get 2 pratice runs then eliminations..

Ya not sure it would work well and your putting a lot of stress on 2nd gear. Just use first and make sure your shifting after the 60' mark, that will give you the best 60' time.

Prob would be hard on 2nd i guess ill short shift it really doesnt like to go in over 6500-7k..i was just dreaming of a one shift run..hahaha

Might be hard on the clutch to. Your trans shift that bad?

Wouldnt go in to 2nd very good at all only got one clean run all day..dave thinks its the 2600 pp flexing to much at high rpm..I shoulda got a 2100 I thinks

its doable. you will need to slip the clutch enough were is not going to stall on you.. we ran our pb launching in 2nd gear. keep in mind the car was a 4g63 swapped honda crx @1700 lbs.

I'm on a 2600/6-puck combo and my car shifts like butter.

NLTS? Have you tried shifting early? Find a place for a little practice.

Fix that clutch if you can.

Sounds like you you may need to adjust that clutch or service the synchros in that transmission. Does the car pull forward if you have the car in 1st, keep the clutch depressed and rev the car over 5-6k?

No clutch drag but it hasnt been the same since the old act disc broke (shifts fine other gears) im running the street disc not a 6 puck. Ill readjust n bleed n see if it helps
Ihave another tranny im building for next season I just wanted this one to make it the rest of this season.

Did you reuse the pressure plate that the clutch broke in? Is it possible any of the fingers were bent and hindering disengagement?

New pp, new disc, mistu tob, new mistu slave..all fresh
