I got this car and the timing jumped. It has been down for almost an entire year and i have like 4 things left to do. I just need some help troubleshooting a couple.

#1 Figure out why my rad fan won't come on when i push the ac button. (It worked earlier today and now it just won't work?

#2 figure out why my seatbelts won't move back against the seat. (Used to work and both stopped now) I can;t seem to locate the fuse for these even in my manual. Someone must know.

On a 1g, both of the circuits are these circuits are powered from the same fuse, in the front relay box.

It's fuse #3, a pink 30 amp big fuse.

The front relay box get's it's power thru the alternator fuse, so be sure to check it as well.
It's the black, bolt in fuse in the front fuse box. It's rated at 80 amps, us cars, and 100 amp for the canadian vehicles.

You can also tell if the alt. fuse is popped because the power windows, and seat belt motors won't work, and the a/c fans won't turn on with the switch, but the radiator fan will come on with temperature from the cooling system.

The alternator fuse is very vulnerable during a motor swap, as just touching the ring terminal to the alternator to ground will pop the alternator fuse.

Good luck!

OK cool.

My last question is, when i open my doors the light around the ignition and the lights under the dash don't come on. When i oull the fuse out for those and stick it back in they come on for about 5 seconds and then fade off like they should if the door is closed even though the door is still open.

Weird...

Try snapping the door pin switch with your fingers a couple of times. The switch contacts get corroded, and then only work when they feel like it.

You can gently peel the boot off the door pin switches, remove the phillips head screw, and remove the switch to clean it. I use scotch bright, and brake cleaner, :)tease: but there's probably a better way.)

You just need to get the contacts clean, and it should work again. :thumb:

Does anyone know how to remove the seatbelt motors? i hate how they move frontwards and then back towrds your shoulders when you close the door. i want to make them stationary and remove the rails and motors.

Thanks, Seth.

Well you have to remove the interior panels around where the belt are and the track for the motoized part. Then you basically just start removing bolts and that is about it.
