I have the stock turbo and have only done the boost control solenoid mod. My question is this, at mid-range rpms I have 12.5 psi of boost but when I get nearer to redline my boost drops to around 10 psi. Why does it do that? Is there anyway I can get rid of it?

Thanks

Above about 5000 RPM give or take they usually turd out to like 10 PSI, its normal for this little turbo. Get a "junkyard" 14 B or another turbo to get good boost through the RPM range.

Are you guys thinking he has a t25?? Only the 2g have the t25 and his profile is defiatly a 90. That is just common since for a dsm person. If he has a manual 1g he will have the 14b or a 13b with an auto. The 14b with a manual boost controller should fix your problem of your boost dieing. the stock controller limits boost at higher rpm. Once you get the boost controller you will be holding your boost to red line. The 14b has been know to make very good number so its really not one of those "little turbo". I had the stock turbo on my 95 and it would suck in high rpm's but now with my 16g turbo it hold rock solid with a electronic boost controller 2. Hope that helps and watch who you get your help from.

OOOOPS!!! i didn't even read he has A 1G. It sounded like the normal T25 question. My bad,, Yah the 14B is way better then the T25 in the upper ranges. I know my sh1t, just didn't read right, srry

my guage now reads 15 on full throttle, and putters out to about 11-12 at 5.5k. now i have K&N intake, 3" catback with a apexi N1, greddy type s and my guages. get some mods, and it will get better. remember, i am on the 13b too, so i sould see less. so you could see more.
