I helped a friend install some Eibach Pro-Kit springs today. When installing the rears, the springs didn't seem long enough for the shocks. With everything bolted up on the shock/spring assembly, there was about a half an inch of space between the top mounting part, and the top of the spring. My own Sprint/Tokico combo didn't have this issue. So we figured(hoped) that the shock would lower and seat itself after the car was on the ground and driven.

Since it's not my car, I can't say how it worked out, but my friend called me and said that there's some tire rubbing on one side on the rear.

So, basically, i'm wondering if this space is normal with the Yellows or not?

The "extra space" of about a half inch sounds pretty comparable to the pro kit and AGX combo I had on my car. It definitely shouldn't be rubbing though. Did you forget the rubber spring caps or something when you put the struts together?

No, everything is on there. He called me later and told me that he has a wider tire than most people seem to use, so I think that's probably the problem, but nice to know that other people have had the space "problem" anyhow.

Normal. The pro kit is a lowered spring. Shock rods are built to stock spec/length.
