Just installed used combo of koni yellows and eibach pros, and noticed something weird... The install went fine, wasn't too difficult. But, when I took the car out of gear after putting on all the shocks/springs, I felt it kind of "drop". Got out and looked, noticed a slight lowering of the overall height, but looked at the rear drivers side and saw that it had dropped about an inch further than the rest of the car. I'm 99% sure I installed them correctly, had some help from someone who had done the same swap a bunch of times. It also looks like the rear passenger is a bit lower than the front, not as far as the drivers side though.

The distance between the tire (stock rim and tire size) and the wheel well in the front is about 2 1/2 inches. Drivers side rear is about 1", passenger side rear is about 1 1/2". WTF? I read somewhere that you can adjust the perch to lower it up to 25cm (1 inch?). Could it be that the perch's are just different? Are the springs too old and are sagging? Help! I need to know if I need to get new springs or a coilover kit asap so I can either fix the ones I have or get the new ones and put em on... It looks goofy as heck having one corner dropped further, I can feel all the ricers laughing at me. :(

Since I am a 2G this might not help, but I have the same combo. The prokits do have a driver side spring and a passenger side spring, maybe they were mixed up? Also, did you trim your bumpstops evenly?

If they do have a drivers side and passenger side spring, it's possible I messed them up. There weren't any distinguishing characteristics that I could use to figure out which went where. The bumpstops were trimmed I believe, since they were used I had just purchased the whole assembly straight out of the previous owner's car, had the upper mounts and everything.

How can I tell which side is which? The koni labels are facing backwards now on the rear shocks... *shrugs* The front ones don't have any labels whatsoever.

I don't think the shocks are distinguishable from right to left, only front and back.
I didn't install my springs and I can't quite remember what my mechanic said how to tell which spring was which, but he seemed to know. Maybe you can get in touch with Eibach, I do remember the instructions saying something about it, but I lost that sheet long ago.

Oh and I just reread your first post closely. Maybe it isn't the springs at all, but it is the struts. My mechanic also told me that the rear strutshad an option to lower the car a little more, but that he chose the higher of the two settings. Perhaps it has something to do with the perches and one of them broke, that is unless its even on both sides in the rear.

Anyone else have any ideas? I'm gonna jack it up and check the shock and see what the deal is... I dont' even know what the "perch" is supposed to look like and how to change the position on it. I'll probably just order new springs, but I wanna make sure they're what's ####ed before I spend money on it.
