im getting knock over 5500 rpm in 3rd gear and up. my egts arent bad, my o2's are like .86-.89v, timing wont go lower than 8 degrees but knock was in low 40s at the most. this was a 3rd-5th gear pull. it still pulled 145 to problem but i was knockin like a mother. i have my safc2 to hook up yet, but does anyone think im just running too lean? my mods are walboro 190, open 2.5 inch dp, boost at 15 psi, o2 dump and intake with hacked maf..i also rebuilt the motor about 10k ago so its nothing internal, and all emissions eliminated. any ideas? btw..this is in my 1990 FWD tsi.

A 1G with a knock count in the 40's...?
I'm gonna have to say your a little on the lean side.
How are you getting your data? Can you post a datalog of a 3rd gear pull?

ya..i thought maybe it was a bad knock sensor but the gel was all good and it wasnt going loer than 8 timing. i seen a bad knock sensor and under 30 counts of knock timing was -2. so i doubt its the knock sensor. i would post a log but ui dropped my logger and it broke so i am waiting for a new one i ordered. but im using dsm logger software on a palm pilot. i can remember it beong zero from like 2500 and up until it hit 5500 then it was like going 2-3-7-10-14-21-24 and when i hit 4th it would jump to like 30's and hold around there and in the upwards of 39-40 in 5th
