OK I have just started tuning my 1g the other day after installing FIC 650s. My fuel setup also includes stock 1G MAS , re-wired 190 FP running stock fuel pressure. I am running a ported and clipped Evo 3 16g and did all of my tuning so far running as low boost as possible spiking at around 12psi and holding just a little bit lower than that.

I think I should include that I am venting to the atmosphere, have my vacuum hoses running the way shown on the Taboo site taboo where the WGS and BOV are teed together, and just before installing the injectors and SAFC-II I had installed the Slow Boy Racing Street FMIC kit where i was hitting fuel cut a little after 6K.

Ok now to my tuning thus far, which was done as best as possible based on dsmtuners dyno tuning treads piggyback tuning .

Low Settings:
found easy to get FTRL but MID and HIGH wouldn't move
by free reving. After normal driving all fuel trims were good
1000 - 14%
2000 - 15%
3000-6000 - 17%

High Settings:
1000 - 24%
2000 - 28%
3000 - 29%
3600 - 28%
4200 - 30%
4800 - 30%
5200 - 29%
5800 - 28%
6000 - 27%
6200 - 27%
6600 - 27%
7000 - 27%

Ok now to my latest 3rd gear log where I have been running into a wall of knock a little bit before 6K.

I've tried richening up the knock areas up to 10% less correction where I actually was getting knock into the 30s. I've also noted that the timing is quite advanced even though I know 1Gs can get into the upper 20s, yet timing stays in the 20s during heavy knock.
Then I started thinking that I was hitting fuel cut with the corrections so low but now I am a bit stumped as this is my first time tuning a DSM.

One last thing I noticed after doing several 3rd gear runs is that my low and high fuel trims changed from around 100% into the upper 80s and the High trim remains at 82.8%

Let me know if any more detail is needed or any questions you may have, I am stumped and frustrated because up until point of heavy knock the car is running great and feels like it wants to keep on going. Plus the fact the I am running such low boost. Please let me know what you think...Boost leak? Fuel Cut? Need more fuel? I'm very confused seeing that I'm using what seems to be a more than adequate fuel setup.

When your knock starts your o2 sensor goes screwy...it could be bad.

I agree, looks like you might have a bad O2 sensor. The readings you have are off the wall.

Something is odd here. 28 knock counts but timing only drops a few degrees??

byondevl- That's exactly what Gman and I have been thinking. The numbers just don't seem to make sense in relation to each other. I'm starting to get concerneed about exactly what's going on here... :(

Me and my close friend ru2slow? solved his knock problem by going with a 2g MAF where we were able to tune with less airflow correction due to the 20% increase in unread airflow which in turn gave him less timing advance. Thank You mlopez and 98spydert for see that as our problem. Car now runs amazing. Hope others can learn of this tread.
