killed my cluth-suggestions please

A while back I had my engine rebuilt because I burned the valves out. At the time the mechanic told me I needed to change the clutch soon.

Today I did something stupid. I know I shouldn't have, but I took off a bit spirited at a traffic light. When I shifter into second the car wasn't wanting to move. Put it back into neutral while coasting. I thought the gear had popped out. Went back to second and nothing. Went to first and it took off again. I was rather scared that I had rounded out my second gear. However, I pulled into a parking lot and when I took off again everything worked somewhat fine. However, every time I shift the car jerks. It feels like the clutch is slipping.

I've finished the stage 1 mods. So what clutch would you all recommend. Stage 1,2,3? Also recommended brands. Trying to get the best I can for the cheapest.

I wouldn't get any of the cheap ebay clutches, go with a clutch masters or ACT.

Fill up your profile,so people would give you better ideas what you need,and what won't need,right now most of the people will be guessing ,on which clutch would be better....

If you saying,that youre done 1 stage of mods,i would get an ACT 2100,but if you are thinking to go more in a future,then grab an ACT 2600....

I disagree with going ACT. I had a finger break off of my pressure plate and my friends have had other issues such as the springs coming off. Look at the thread and list of people on here complaining about this issue.

If I had to do it again, I would get a Fidanza clutch. My buddy got one and hasn't had a single problem. Thats the route I should have went, instead I ended up with another ACT.

fidanza 3.2 is an awesome clutch!!! i would say if you need a clutch to get that one. awesome pedal feel, and more holding power and bite then the act2100...
