With out the Insurance companies, there would be no democracy, pilgrims, religious freedoms, armed forces, space program, basic cable, Hostess products, cotton gin, etc... I see exactly where yer coming from...

Please explain what do those things have to do with insurance companies?

(just a little note, don't take my comments too seriously;) )

Yup, that's right. If you're trying to pay for your parts, consider helping insurers beat down on the perpetrators of insurance fraud. Quite often, they'll pay you a reward for helping them out.

Insurance fraud is no joke; without fraud the cost of providing insurance would drop by a good 20%.

On the flipside, get politically active. Yes, fraud hurts insurance companies, and yes, they pass that hurting on to the customer, but they're also actively ripping us all off.

There's only one side to be on in this war; your own. That means that neither the guy that keys his car for a 'free' paintjob, nor the insurance company that squanders its financial reserves are your friends.

yeah, but without insurance...the united states as we know it wouldn't exist.

Please explain.

I can't possibly see the point of keying my own vehicle or anyone else's ether, It's just plain stupid. When I brought my car in for the estimate my friend said to key some of the panels that weren't touched so the insurance company would pay for the entire car to get done. I almost cried from the thought of it, like I was castrating myself. When I talked to the adjuster I brought up the fact that the paint fade alone would make the car look stupid. Anyways the whole cars getting done right, and that's what I pay insurance for.

Please explain.

i think the past few posts have explained this.

simply put:

roads wouldn't be built, new products invented, various medical supplies, businesses....civilization as we know it would not exist.

insurance companies are the backbone of creation.

it 'sucks' that we have insurance but they're here to 'help' us; they indemnify us when we're unable to survive/cope with a loss or when a venture is risky.

if you still don't understand, PM me.

i say go for the fraud because really what the hell, you pay how ever much each month and what happens if nothing ever happens to your car, your paying for nothing really. they just take the money your giving them and using it for what else they want, thats just my $.02, my mentality is really do what ever it takes to get what you want, and get what you want easy, i guess you could say its a moral issue, some people got good ones, others got bad ones...but does that make you a bad person, nah im j/k do what ever you want, but dont do it with out knowing what can happen if you get caught, and dont tell no one your plans, that whole insurance tipping thing

You know what I think would be funny. You key your own car and get it painted and then someone keys it for you. If you want your car painted or anything done to your car, work for it! Thats what its all about, your time and money!

So you pay so and so a month, Do you know how much You are coverd by???? MADDDDDDD CHEESE. in the 10 thousands. Lets say you get insurence on mon, and on tues You Wreck your car, arnt you GLAD you got insurence? so you keep paying and nothing happens, it goes down after a while! I like the Comfort I get when I know if someone plows into my car that there are funds to help me fix my car, and more importantly ME!
