So I am having a heck of a time installing my Kenwood cd player. It is a single din. I got the mounting plastic bracket from Crutchfield. Now, everything looks like it would be nice, however, my deck seems to sit crooked. And the trim plate that covers the deck/air controls doesn't seem to fit well. Is there a way to adjust the main bracket below where the mounting kit bolts to? Something just seems to be crooked and not lining up right. Its getting late so I gave up until tomorrow. Just thought I would ask and see if anybody else has ran into this.

Thanks!

same thing happened to me with my kenwood excelon 869. what model do you have? i just kind of rigged up a trim panel instead of actually messing with the bracket

I have the Excelon 889. I actually got it all figured out. There was a broken piece in the plastic bracket that was throwing everything off. Used a washer to make up for it and everything looks great now. Still went in a little harder than it probably should have, but in the end I got it in and it looks great!
