Hey all;
Since I installed my turbo I've melted now 9 hoses going from the turbo to the WG. Even been running them a long route by going around the front of the radiator and it still manages to melt somewhere. I bought a bunch this hose from Menards, it's clear rubber almost.

Does anyone have any suggestions of what hose to use? I've got a bunch of fuel line laying around, but I heard you can't use liquid hoses for air/vacuum. Is this correct? How about SS line? Have a bunch of that too. Thanks guys.

the clear rubber is your problem, that isnt meant for heat, go yo a part store and buy some vacuum line

worked in a part store for 5 years and dont recall seeing any fuel line small enough for what he needs. but if you can find it, it would be a little bit stronger but not much for the 3-4 times the price

Why would you use the clear hose from Menards??

Buy some regular vacuum line and be done with it.

I had yards of it laying around! Make use of what I have... even if it is wrong. Ghetto rigged? Maybe... cheap... YES! LOL :thumb:

And people wonder why DSMs have such a bad rep with reliability, most owners try to save themselves $5 instead of getting themselves the proper hoses.

Get a regular vacuum line. If you want something to last forever get silicone vacuum line. If you want to keep your clear look, go to home depot and find some fiber-reinforced clear line.
