I finally got a hold of someone at the track and they said no passangers but you can have a laptop in the car. She did specify what day I was talking about so maybe the laptops are only allowed on grudge night.?.?

Hey is anyone that is coming very familiar with dsmlink? Im still new to tunning with it and with my last attempt at tunning, I wound up with all of my exhuast valves bent. So can someone help me with just getting a basic tune on it to allow me to breack my new block/pistons/rods/crankshaft/turbo/camshafts in. Any help is appreciated.
I have a really crazy tune on it right now and I'm thinking I'm going to be trailoring the car to track so I dont have to worry about any breackage.

I'm not familiar with DSMLink but would bent valves indicate that the timing is off?

I'm not sure how a bad tune would cause that.

Well it was actually because my tensioner went out, but I cant get it out of my head that my tune didnt have something to do with it going out.

I am familiar with it, I tune my own car.

I can help you out and show you what needs to be done. I will be refreshed on it as I still need to street tune my car over the next few days.

Your tuning of the car had nothing to do with the valves being bent, that would be a timing belt slipping.

I'm familiar with it as well. I tuned my own car when it made over 500 awhp so I'm pretty comfortable with it. As long as you have a wideband I can help you out. I'm trying to get my boss to let me off early so I can make it out there.

I dont have a wideband as of yet, but I will have one within the next month.

It's up in the air as to whether or not my car will actually go down the track. I know there is a bad bearing in the transmission (Getting worse by the day) My wife is freaking out about me breaking it at the track because of it. Yes, I will definitely be there and with the car also. I have a trans all torn apart in my basement and waiting on parts. I might run it just to see what it runs but it would piss her off. Anywho, See you all at the track!!

Ok, no flaming please, but I was thinking about bringing an air duster can to cool down the intercooler between runs.

Has anyone ever used them or somthing similar?

I've been using them to clean all the dust of my stuff in my basement where I'm doing construciton work and thought of it since it freezes when you turn them upsidedown. In theory it seems like it would work and since it sprays out it would be easy to reach the IC.

Well ####, I guess I wont be able get the car up and running in time for the meet. I still need several things and Ive completely run out of money. My cell phone actually got shut off today because I cant afford to pay it.
I'm still going to be there though and regardless of anyone else racing the dsms are going to be the fastest cars in the parking lot.

Does anyone have a 1g alternator tensioner bolt and little " thingy " that bolt's into the alt. I need one to run my car tommorow as it fell out today while driving, and I broke my spare.
