No. The " black " guy in the white geo metro. His car looked stock. He always has a fast car. He is one of the " dsm " brothers. He used to have a 11 sec fwd 1g gst and his brother has a low low 11 sec awd 1g
 
I dont have to worry about a fire jacket as I have a 'stock' turbo. At least its got a Mitsu compressor housing, the guys at the track wont know hehe.

I have some little issues to fix still, if I can get the car tuned today then I should be good to go. I am boosting back at 25 so some small adjustments should do it, if not then it appears my waste gate may be sticking, might be all the leaded race gas I have been running heh.

I will be looking for some good times on Friday. I put 10 gallons of E85 in the car yesterday tee hee.

I went to Warrensburg yesterday to buy some shoes ( could not find a single pair of shoes in my size ) and there is a BREAK TIME off of the 13 ( maguire ) that sells it. Well, its E70 right now.
 
Not really, I live about 25 miles away from Warrensburg and I refuse to shop the corporate devil know as Wal Mart and thats the only place in town that I know of that sells shoes.

How is the ethanol working for your car? Im seriously debating about putting it in my car, since gas prices are still shooting up. I heard they are predicting $7 a gallon by then end of the year.

No way in hell it will hit $7 by the end of the year, last year they said $6 by the end of the year and where are we now? I dont trust the media to get anything correct.

I have not got to do any real pulls on it yet. Still trying to get my boost set, which will happen after I finish fixing a couple tiny oil leaks that happened over night, easy fixes just takes time. I will really know how it is doing for the car come tomorrow night at the track.

Shit.... I'm on a small 16g @ 15psi and have a bad input shaft bearing and I hit a 14.1 @ 95mph. There is definitely something up with your tune. What afr's are you seeing. The E85 you are going to need to add about 30% with your fuel to keep the same AFR.

Well, car was untuned on a new motor with a whole 84 miles on it and I could not boost over 16psi, turned out my vac line for BoV popped off under the SMIM and I had a hell of a boost leak there.

I have the problem solved and am currently boosting 21 psi, as we all know, the 20g doesnt even come alive until 19psi.Things are going to be a whole lot different tomorrow. Still dont have the car tuned, just two test runs, will do a few tuning runs tomorrow before the track.

Anyone know the real PSI limit of the 20g? I was told it was about 22-24psi

Thats what I am shooting for. MY best run was a 12.6 @ 113.23 with a blown turbo, tired clutch and I broke a axle in second gear, the speeds, even with no power in 2nd gear were good for very low 12's high 11's. I just hope I dont get kicked for no fire jacket when it comes to hitting 11's.
 
I would say around 26-28 PSI. I hope you didn't hurt your turbo by not having your BOV functioning properly. That can lower the lifespan of your turbo. BTW, that's the turbo I was looking into getting. The new FP 20G-6SL2. Looks to be a great one! :thumb:
 
I doubt it, the turbo has a fresh rebuild on it. Combined, it has a whole 160 miles on it when I got to the track. I checked it when I did my boost leak test and I have 0 play in any direction.

From what I understand, its a turbo that flows 650 CFM ( 44lbs of air ) air max and I get that at 22psi. at 21 psi I was seeing 39.2 lb/min at 7100 rpm on a 3rd gear pull.
 
DSMLink was showing me at the 370hp area and I have yet to touch fuel or timing. Because of the headlight being in, I was enjoying 114 degree intake temps so right there, I was losing 2 degrees of timing hehe. I should be nearing the 450 mark with 22psi and 20* of timing.
 
We just may bro. I love me some friendly competition. having someone in the same time range of my car gives me something to work for.

Hey guys I've never been to a track to race before, just wondering some of the things you need to have or you need to bring like a helmet. I'm guessing you need License, Insurance and there's a fee like 20 bucks or so. I know there's different requirements at different times, just wondering what they were. Not thinking of running crazy low times it's my daily driver, just itching to see what I've put tons of time and money into pay off a little.
