Kannapolis Auto, Steve Miller, Anyone Get Parts From Him In 2025?

Just seeing what others have to say on their Kannapolis Auto, Steve Miller orders?

I did small orders in the past, then a guy on here got 1g body parts so I got those same parts and more in June.

I'm waiting on items, wasn't in a hurry initially but wanna keep cool before I have to call him vs emails or call someone else in Kannapolis and realize I'm not seeing my $1650 or body panels/seats. These cars are tough enough as is to then deal with all this honestly.

so he was good but I have recently had issues with missing parts, parts not being sent and their workers NOT telling him so i have had to chase etc etc. its got annoying because i don't question prices so I'm an easy customer and that's HIM saying that so for the missing parts and me chasing its not great BUT once i moan they do arrive

Sure, I thought the parts were pulled in July from an email but then that wasn't the case. I wasn't initially in a hurry which I regret now since it's been 2 full months of talking. There's a point to where I'd rather buy a parts car and not deal with all this so then you get into, refund land and then things get real interesting.

I ordered a part from him last year and had to email a couple times. I was polite but by the last one I said “I need a tracking number or a refund.” The part was finally sent and all was good but I expected things to be a little more professional than they were.

I have everything documented in my 2G talon build thread but he scammed me out of nearly $3,000 and refused to do anything to make it right.

Bought an engine he swore up and down was 0 miles freshly rebuilt. Got it covered in grease and oil, also had oil all in the pitch black exhaust ports. BSE was done poorly and bearings weren’t flipped. Wrong sized rod bearings were used on a cut crank so the engine seized shortly after starting.

When I sent him videos of the exhaust ports and the issues his response was “looks fine to me”.

So glad he’s moving on from DSMs. He’s already done enough to damage the community. Let him go somewhere else and damage someone else’s scene.

I bought a set of rockers off ebay, unknowing that his company was the seller. They all had signs of damage like cracked/scored rollers, chipped tips where they ride on the valve stems, and were gritty inside and out. They obviousley came out of an engine that skipped a belt. I filed an ebay claim and got my money back but my time is more valuable than dealing with someone trying to sell me bad parts as good.

Thanks for the posts, that's why I started this as it is clear on here and on Yelp he's not an ethical retailer. What sucks for me is he literally fulfilled a body restoration order for a member on here maybe in late 2023 or early 2024 so I thought he was honest and could do it for me too.

I'll give him a week, I'll call, I'll then try PayPal and if that fails I'll good harder and contact help in North Carolina.

Got the parts after a phone call not long after my post above.

The whole right quarter was smashed in, the driver quarter the body shop said was cut a bit high but they'll handle it $$$$, and both door sills were good, the factory seats weren't really worth the $150 since the adjuster was scratched up but I'll make due and paint them. Not worth $1650 shipped, I could've bought a local clean car and had the shop remove all that and the rear quarter would've been not smashed and require more $$ to fix and use.

I'll be selling both rear glass to get money back on this mess.
