Just installed my Tanabe Medalion G Power Exhaust that I purchased for $200(Amazing Deal). And it sounds.... awesome. Has a really DEEP tone. Doesn't sound like a high pitched Honda. Tanabe I give you :thumb::thumb::thumb:

that was a good deal I had a similar deal for an hks cabon fiber catback exhaust for $300 and I missed it by a day I almost cried but nice to know that the medalion sounds good do u post a video to hear it thanks

I'll try and post pics and vid tommorrow. Don't own a video camera so I'll bne using the cam/recorder on my g1.

I'd like to see pictures of what you guys have for your G Medallion. I have the muffler for sure, but don't know about the rest of the piping. Are your guys' exhausts 2.5"?

Well that's good to hear. I'd be nice to know if what I have is worth a fair bit.

This is the only picture I have available of it right now.

Overall I'm a fan of this exhaust, besides the fact that it's 2.5". Very nice sound, definitely not loud (can barely hear him when he's going down the 1/4 mile). My main issue with it is that it rattles occasionally on his subframe on decel. We fixed it a little but have to get in there again to completely solve the problem somehow.

The guy I bought mine from had rust on his pipes. I spent about 3 hours sanding the entire pipe raw and then I painted it with some paint made for grills. So my muffler is a Medallion muffler but the entire piping is black. Actually looks better than just a steel pipe, but your not going to see it anyways so who cares I guess.

My rubber hangers were in great condition so I'm not having any issues with rattling just yet. Knock on Wood.

It goes under.

Here's another picture I found before I put mine on. It's sitting in the garage in a corner right now so I can any other pictures that are needed.

That makes sense then, the only reason the fwd exhaust rattles is because it goes over the subframe.

No, I am reffering to the OP. I don't remember his name, but I sold it in early summer (About a week before this thread was posted) and the guy came from the Illinois side into St. Louis. The rust he was describing he had to sand off was another thing that made me think it was my old exhaust. And on top of that I sold it for $200. Could be a mere coincidense but I think not.

Ah.

I've been thinking lately of ripping open the Tanabe muffler and making it a 3" muffler that I can then bolt up to my current 3" exhaust. I love the look of the muffler so much and my current one is pretty meh. I'll probably be putting it up for sale again soon and if it doesn't sell I'll follow through with my plan.

Yeah even though I got rid of my DSM, I still regret selling my Tanabe cat-back. When I get another DSM, I will most definatly want another Tanabe G Medalion Muffler. It had the perfect tone and looked sick.
